The performance of NovaNox® combination silencers is enhanced by the optimal use of the available installation space. This improves the reduction of engine and exhaust noise. The selected materials also ensure that a NovaNox® combination silencer delivers its maximum performance. NovaNox® combination silencers are made of tested steel or stainless steel. The insulating material inside consists exclusively of first-class fiberglass wool, stainless steel wool or rock wool. Does condensation occur more frequently in your application? Then we can optionally use insulation materials that do not bind moisture. This prevents the persistent formation of condensation within the combination silencers. This gives the combination silencers a significantly longer service life with reliable performance.

Manual welding

NovaNox® as a welding company has many years of experience with welding technology and very well trained personnel. Our combination silencers are produced using an automated welding process as well as welded by hand. The manual welding process offers cost advantages and time savings, especially for custom-made products and small to medium-sized batches. Hand-welded combination silencers are manufactured on modern welding tables. Our own fixture construction ensures dimensional accuracy and lasting precision even for upper tolerance classes.

The automated welding process uses state-of-the-art welding robots. The automated manufacturing process allows production with short throughput times and high efficiency. This is ideal for cost-effective production of high demands with consistent quality. The automated welding process is the best welding method for exceptionally high precision. Our versatile selection of tube end finishing options ensures fast and uncomplicated installation in any assembly situation. These include beading according to DIN 71550 and DIN flanges as well as flaring and reduction according to your requirements. In addition, pipe ends can be slotted or supplemented with threaded connections, self-tapping screw connections or male and female sockets.

Corrosion protection and finishes for combination silencers

Surface treatments enable a permanently corrosion-free, safe and solid surface. This increases the durability and safety of the combination silencers and gives them an attractive appearance. With our own powder coating and painting facility, we can realize all RAL colors quickly and in high quality. For your safety, we use FEM calculations to check, for example, the structural strength, vibration resistance and material productivity of your concept in the early development phases. This keeps you on the safe side during the test phases and after your customers have put your product into operation.
In the process, we digitally show you the consequences of a wide range of mechanical, thermal and electrical stresses using linear and non-linear structural-mechanical calculations. This enables us to examine the consequences of various influences on the entire product or component - even with a complex shape - even before the prototype is built.
The results of these calculations can also be used as evidence for technical approvals, for product liability and production releases.
At NovaNox®, FEM calculations are performed analytically according to general and international standards. This ensures comparability and reliable results. We take over for you

Noise measurements of the sound levels LAFmax, LAFmin as well as LCpeak on site are of course part of our service. With the measurement we determine the sound level distribution in the frequency range from 20 to 20,000 Hz. Based on these measurement results, we calculate the power requirement for your sound attenuator and design an adequate structure for it. We then determine the insertion loss according to the planned design. If necessary, this allows us to optimize the component to achieve maximum sound attenuation when operating your product.

Right from the start, we work out the concept, planning, design of the construction, the material and the manufacturing process together with you. In this way, we achieve realistic results for later series production already in the prototype phase. This ensures the best possible results and compliance with your time and cost planning. For final fine-tuning, we examine the FAI results and refine the manufacturing process for maximum effectiveness and profitability. Quality management

Welding process planning determines the optimum welding process for the specific criteria that your welded combination silencer is to meet.   • Utilizing our in-house test basin, we conduct a 100% test with air underwater as per regulations such as ECE R34 or 70/21/EEC
  • Pressure test
  • Leak test by means of red or fluorescent dyes
  • Ultrasonic testing

The high quality of your products requires reliable quality assurance in production. This requires precise documentation of the production processes. Errors and quality deviations can be detected and corrected in good time thanks to complete documentation. This brings enormous cost savings, especially for large projects.
