Metal hoses for industrial applications
Metal hoses, made of stainless steel (stainless steel hoses) or galvanized steel (galvanized steel hoses), are an important component in industrial applications. They are rustproof, heat resistant (-270°C to 600°C), chemical resistant and have excellent pressure resistance (operating pressure from 11 to 150 bar). This makes them ideal for applications in various industries, such as automobiles and food facilities.
Protective hoses are primarily used for cable protection. Accordingly, metal protective conduits are cable protection conduits made of metal, which shine due to their extremely high impact and temperature resistance. Many metal protective conduits are also resistant to liquids such as oil, gasoline or chemicals. With the help of 2D and 3D models, you can find the right metal protective conduit for your application. Working with us, you'll get a metal hose that meets all your particular specifications.
Thus, we offer metal protection hoses with a spiral reinforcement for the food industry. This specification offers particularly easy cleaning due to a smooth outer wall. The protective conduit is self-extinguishing, flexible and enables easy insertion of the cables to be protected. In addition, the spiral-reinforced metal conduit can be used in mechanical and plant engineering as well as in shipbuilding and automation technology.
Another variation of NovaNox metal protection hoses is the PVC coated metal protection hose. The plastic coating gives the protective hose additional resistance to alkalis, acids and chemicals while maintaining flexibility. This can be used, for example, in machine and plant construction or electrical installations.
The metal protection hoses can also be coated with polycaprolactam (PA6). This coating increases the compressive, impact and tensile strength of your metal hose. They are also resistant to high temperatures, have good abrasion resistance and are still very flexible.
Our portfolio is rounded off by waterproof metal protection hoses. Characteristic properties of the waterproof metal hoses are high compressive strength, impact strength, tensile strength and very high flexibility. The smooth outer jacket also prevents wrinkling when the metal hose is bent. They are also resistant to oil, grease, gasoline and acids. They can be used in machinery, equipment and outdoor installations, among others, as well as in applications that require liquid tightness.
Safe and economical solutions
NovaNox® offers corrugated metal pipes in various designs such as corrugated and coiled made of galvanized steel and stainless steel. The tubes are characterized by their long-lasting and reliable performance. Strict quality management is carried out according to ISO 9001 to ensure that each tube is tested and documented by a specialist. Before delivery, each hose is tested or inspected for leakage, cleanliness and perfect welds to ensure greater safety for people and the environment. Our experts are involved in the design process at an early stage to develop individual solutions for demanding applications. NovaNox® metal hoses can be seamlessly integrated into overall projects to ensure that all components fit together perfectly.
Corrugated hose
NovaNox® corrugated stainless steel hose is a thin-walled cylindrical component. It is manufactured from various materials with corrugated profiles, which are formed seamlessly or longitudinally welded. With the help of pressure rollers, the corrugated profile is rolled from the outside to the inside during the manufacturing process. This mechanical procedure ensures material hardening, which leads to increased compressive and fatigue strength, thus increasing the longevity of your corrugated hoses. In the hydraulic process, on the other hand, the corrugated hose is expanded from the inside out. Due to its manufacturing process, the annular corrugated hose is absolutely leak-proof and can withstand higher pressure than, for example, coiled hoses.
The corrugated hose can be manufactured as a ring corrugated hose or a spiral corrugated hose. The difference lies in the "type of corrugation". The characteristic corrugated structure is located in its outer surface. The profile orientation of the ring corrugated hose is perpendicular to the hose axis. This course enables an undisturbed connection of the connecting fitting, which ensures process reliability in operation and during assembly. The special structure prevents torsional stresses during pressure increases or pressure surges. It also makes them flexible, but at the same time extremely pressure-resistant. High temperature and corrosion resistance perfectly round off the profile of NovaNox® corrugated ring hoses. They are used to safely convey liquids or gases under pressure. In addition, they are used in industry as a vacuum line or as a flexible connecting element that can effortlessly withstand movements, thermal expansion and vibrations.
When properly used and installed, the robust metal hoses are virtually maintenance-free components with a long service life.
Wound hoses
NovaNox® wound hoses are manufactured in a continuous process. This is done by profiling and helically coiling a cold-rolled metal strip on a special mandrel tool. The production is therefore made from a profiled strip which is helically coiled interlocked with each other. This process allows parts of the hose to remain displaceable. As a result, wound hoses have improved mobility, high mechanical strength and high flexibility. In addition, they are vibration-resistant and are thus extremely durable.
Safety instructions
First check whether the hose has been damaged during transport. If this is not the case, you can cover the hose with a non-conductive material for protection. Make sure that contact with welding or flux splashes is avoided. Furthermore, you should avoid an electrical short circuit caused by welding electrodes or ground cables, as this can destroy the hose. Also protect it from heavy contamination. As a result, the mobility of the hose could be impaired. Thermal insulation should also be selected in such a way that it does not restrict the mobility of the hose. The insulation material used must not contain any corrosive components.
When mounting, there are also some special features that must be explicitly taken into account. For example, counter fittings must be selected so that the hoses cannot kink at the connections. Sufficient freedom of movement of the hoses should be ensured and collisions with nearby components avoided. If the hose is to be connected directly to a vibrating unit, fix the pipeline directly after the hose line. To prevent torsional stress during movements, it is advisable to mount the hose assembly on one level.

These properties make metal hoses the ideal choice for the most demanding applications.
Metal hoses, made of high-quality stainless steel or robust galvanized steel, are an indispensable part of industrial applications. Thanks to their rustproof, heat-resistant, chemical-resistant properties and excellent pressure resistance, they are ideal for various industries, such as the automotive industry and food facilities. Metal protective hoses are particularly in demand in the food industry, as they allow for easy cleaning due to their smooth outer wall. These protective hoses are also flexible and easy to install, and can be used in areas such as mechanical and plant engineering, shipbuilding, and automation. For increased flexibility and increased resistance to alkalis, acids and chemicals, metal hoses can be coated with PVC. These PVC-coated hoses are suitable for applications in electrical installations and in mechanical and plant engineering. Another option for increasing pressure, impact and tensile strength is to use polycaprolactam (PA6) as a coating. This improves the metal hoses' resistance to high temperatures and abrasion. Our portfolio of metal hoses is rounded off by waterproof metal protection hoses that offer high pressure, impact and tensile strength as well as flexibility.
